Press Release Body: Boblin, Maine, September 18, 2008 -- Did presidential candidate
Frank Cotton try to cover up a case of body snatching from a Maine cemetery?
Cotton’s campaign team says no, a new novel suggests otherwise.

A recently released political thriller from Maine author Mark LaFlamme has become
instantly shrouded in controversy as readers debate whether "Dirt: An American
Campaign" is fact or fiction.

From “Dirty Politics with Joey Nilan:”

"In the spirit of Primary Colors, Maine Journalist Mark LaFlamme may be weaving a
real past event with a bit of present day fiction in his new novel, Dirt: An
American Campaign.
In the book, the son of 'Governor Cotton' removes the corpse of his beloved bride
from the Riverside Cemetery in Boblin, Maine and goes on the run.

In fact, Calvin Cotton's wife did die in 2004 and the rumor has prevailed that
Calvin went missing shortly after.

Is this matter something the Cotton campaign is really trying to cover up as the
Primary Colors, makes his run for the White House? Or is it all a fabrication by
LaFlamme?"
